IGM Advisers supports the opening of the non-profit Central Asian Sustainable Tourism Development Foundation (STDF)
|

The Sustainable Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) has been officially established — the first specialised regional non-profit foundation fully dedicated to the development of sustainable tourism in Central Asia. Registration took place on the platform of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), which provides the foundation with an internationally recognised legal base and opens direct access to the global investment and partnership community.

The mission of the STDF is to promote the harmonious development of tourism that ensures economic growth, the well-being of local residents and the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the region.

The Foundation’s activities fully correspond to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, covering a wide range of tasks: from decent employment and infrastructure development (SDGs 8, 9) to the preservation of ecosystems and the fight against climate change (SDGs 13, 14, 15), as well as the promotion of gender equality, clean energy and sustainable cities (SDGs 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 17).

IGM Advisers Group acts as the main donor of the STDF at the stage of its opening and establishment as an important component of the sustainable development ecosystem in the countries of Central Asia. This is an opportunity to support a new generation as a contribution to the future of the region and ESG impact.
