Senior Partner of IGM Advisers Group, expert in private equity and strategic consulting Maxim Handrabura accepted the invitation of Narxoz University and delivered a guest lecture for students of one of the leading economic universities of Kazakhstan.
During the lecture Maxim Handrabura covered several key topics. He spoke about the nature of strategic consulting in practice — how the real work of a business consultant differs from academic ideas about it, how work with clients is structured and what actually creates value in this profession. Using the example of projects and achievements of IGM Advisers, students saw how consulting expertise is applied in investment deals, strategic development of companies and business transformation in Central Asia.
A special place in the lecture was given to two trends shaping the future of the industry: micro-teams as the next generation of management consulting, AI as a tool changing approaches to analysis and decision-making, and the ESG agenda as a new standard for evaluating business by investors and partners around the world. Maxim Handrabura shared his vision of how these trends are already influencing consulting in the world and the region today and what they mean for the careers of young specialists. He also presented the opportunities of the corporate online platform for consultants IGM Global Net.
Concluding the lecture, Maxim Handrabura shared practical advice on building a career in consulting — based on 35 years of personal experience accompanying market leaders and international investors in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
